Fort Bragg and Noyo Harbor’s Best Fish & Chips

I promise I'm not exaggerating when I say: My mom talks about it every day and says, "Those were the best Fish and Chips I've ever had in my whole life!" You can ask my dad.

I did some extensive research for these fish n chips and there are many great options in Noyo Harbor. I made my final decision and added it to the itinerary. Come to find out later on they are actually considered #1 in town.

We actually considered skipping this stop, but we forced it in because we wanted some juicy crispy cod and french fries while we were at the perfect place for it.

We got lunch there right when they opened at 11:30, before heading to the Avenue of Giants

The place: Sea Pal Cove.

It was a perfect nautical setting in it's natural element. The whimsical but real decor all around and a great menu selection.

All the local working men stopped here for lunch in their uniforms and steel- toed boots. We knew it was going to be good if this was the regular spot.

What made it different?

What made it better than others? The batter was light and crispy, not too cakey. It didn't fee oily and greasy and I didn't get that yucky feeling like I often do after eating Fish N Chips. Plus, they were big large pieces of pure protein. I thought I'd only eat 2 pieces but I ate the whole thing. I believe there was a generous 6 pieces of fish. So good!

Not pictured was also the coleslaw. My mom was raving about it too. It seemed so simple but delicious! I assumed the flavor that stood out was the taste of black pepper.

There was a beautiful seating area along the harbor, and just 2 minutes away was the end of the harbor where it meets the ocean. There also was an off-leash dog area and a nice parking area to enjoy the viewpoint.
