Farm to Your Table

Many restaurants are "Farm to Table", but what does that even mean? All restaurants can be farm to table because farms are where crops and animals grow. But is it a good farm? Who sows into it and why? It might be certified "organic", but are they still using other unsafe and unethical practices that are just as bad as using chemical pesticides?

Knowing what's what can be confusing, and honestly at times I still get confused, too. There is always much to learn

My purpose in cooking isn't just to wow you - the core of it is to nourish you... to nourish your family, your colleagues, your friends, and your life.

That's why I've been taking most of my time this year to source and visit the most wholesome farms and local businesses with the most beautiful and delicious product. If I'm not out there visiting or cooking, I'm up late at night researching and learning about more farms and ranches with fruit, vegetables, dairy, and meat all throughout central and northern California - hills, valleys and coasts. That's part of my role as your personal and private chef. I source these ingredients myself, as local as possible, and cook them in your home.

Corn that was so sweet eaten right off the cob at my friend Zoe’s regenerative organic farm in Gilroy.
